Open Election for HSA Board Positions April-May 2021
We will soon be posting for Board Elections and Voting considering the spots that are now open for the upcoming academic year. Stay tuned for information and we will invite all to vote for and submit requests for these positions.
Postions open this year, starting July 1st, 2021 are:
1. President: a. To preside over all Executive Board meetings and all general Association meetings.
b. To compile agendas for all meetings in collaboration with the Principal.
c. To be ex-officio of all committees.
d. To compile a book consisting of agendas and minutes of all Executive and general Association meetings.
e. To establish with the Principal dates for all Executive Board and general Association meetings for the next school year and to list such events on the master parish calendar.
f. To serve as a point of contact and liaison between Association members, Executive Board members, the Pastor, and the Principal in connection with all Association sponsored activities.
2. Second Vice-President a. To assume responsibility for gathering fundraising proposals for discussion with the members of the Executive Board.
b. To delegate chairpersons for all areas of fundraising events and offer support and assistance in coordinating these events.
c. To present receipts of all fundraising expenses to the Treasurer.
d. To establish dates of all events for the upcoming school year and submit said dates to the Principal in order to be posted on the master parish calendar.
e. To obtain all necessary licenses including those for liquor and raffles.
3. Treasurer a. To keep an accurate account of all receipts and expenditures.
b. To present timely financial statements at all Executive Board meetings, general Association meetings, and other times when requested by the Pastor, the Principal, and/or the President.
c. To pay all bills incurred by the Executive officers or any other authorized members of the Association.
4. Parent Liaison (5-8) a. To facilitate communication between the school families and the Executive Board regarding school related topics.
b. To compile questions and concerns from school families to be brought to the attention of the Executive Board for review at the next scheduled board meeting.
c. To follow up with families regarding their questions/concerns once they have been reviewed by the Executive Board.
d. To help support parent involvement in school activities.
