April 2023 / Autism Acceptance Month
April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, and April is National Autism Awareness Month. STS students, faculty and staff wore blue in support and recognition of Autism Awareness. $400.00 in donations were collected for OAR, Organization for Autism Research.
March 21st, 2023 / #LotsOfSocks and #WorldDownSyndromeDay STS students, faculty and staff took part in the annual “Crazy Sock Day” supporting World Down Syndrome Day and collected $333.00 in donations for The Candle Lighters.Down Syndrome International created this day to highlight the idea that everyone has their own different and colorful abilities.Read more about #WorldDownSyndromeDay HERE.March 1oth, 2023 / Awareness Day for NorthStar Pet Resuce
This annual Pet Rescue Service Project began in 2022 when three fourth grade students saw the need to support the organizations that focus on saving at-risk cats/dogs from overcrowded animal shelters, nationwide. Those dedicated students have grown to a team of four, all now in fifth grade... they continue to inspire STS students, faculty and staff to come together in Service. Led by Ms. Taylor/2nd grade... STS students, Faculty and Staff wore blue in support of the Troopers United Foundation. We gathered $520.00 in donations for the #troopersunitedfoundation! The Troopers United Foundation (TUF) was created by dedicated NJ State Police Troopers to be of assistance to any and all Troopers, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders, and their respective families, in the event of a tragedy or illness. With five grocery carts/81 bags and cases of donations, delivered by Ms. Candy and Mr. Bernie... STS students, faculty and staff supported our local community via these generous donations to Roxbury Social Services.

December 2022 / Kenya Sister Parish and #theSTSdifference...
Led by Miss Dohrmann/5th grade, STS students, faculty and staff came together in support of our sisterparish, St. Cecilia in Kenya! STS 5th grade students gathered donations to help provide for their Christmas celebration! November 2022 / Cross Catholic Outreach “Box of Joy®” Cross Catholic Outreach’s Box of Joy® provides schools, parishes, organizations, and families with an inspiring opportunity to send gifts to Haiti, Guatemala and other developing countries.
A #BoxOfJoy is a Christmas “shoe box”, donated and filled with toys, clothing, school supplies, hygiene items, drawings, photos, notes... Each gift includes a rosary and The Story of Jesus, and may be the only Christmas gift children in developing countries are blessed to receive.
STS students and families put together 122 boxes this year, such a huge success that we will now provide this gift every November. STS hopes to become a northern NJ drop-off location in order grow this wonderful project.
October 21st, 2022 / Awareness Day for Breast Cancer
Led by Mrs. Cardinale/6th grade, STS students, faculty and staff wore PINK to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and collected over $600.00 in donations for Mary’s Place by the Sea, a NJ non profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports women with cancer through integrative services which complement their medical treatment and empower, educate and support their healing: mind, body and soul.
September 30th, 2022 / Annual Project Grad “Go Gold” Awareness Day
The Class of 2023’s first Service Project, STS students, faculty and staff wore gold! This Service Project collected $504.00 in donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Over $20,000 has been donated over the years to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, between our annual Math-A-Thon and Project Graduation.
September 18th, 2022 / Warrior Challenge for Childhood Cancer
Coordinated by the STS HSA, STS students participated in an obstacle course in support of childhood cancer. Earning $1,125.00 in donations, $1K was donated to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and $125.00 was donated to The Kellan Ford Foundation.September 9th, 2022 / Awareness Day for Duchenne Awareness
September 7 is World Duchenne Awareness Day. STS students, faculty and staff wore GREEN and collected over $600.00 in donations for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.
