St. Therese School opened its doors September, 1963 to “Teach as Jesus Taught” – organized to promote learning, enhance the Faith Community and to prepare students for a changing world.  As we enter the 21st century, the world is a very different place from when Bishop James Navagh laid the cornerstone for our school.  As the world becomes more complex and the challenges more formidable, the need for a St. Therese education has never been greater.

In conjunction with the parents, we work to produce the leaders and skilled critical thinkers of tomorrow, the problem solvers for the next century.  I invite you to call or visit our school and see what has made St. Therese School a special place for learning for three decades.

Our center here at St. Therese School was designed exclusively in 1997 as an early childhood center.

Our Goals are:

  • To provide an environment where the children feel at home.
  • To ensure that our children are stimulated to learn through self-discovery.
  • To nurture our children through all aspects of their development.
  • And to provide emotional, social, physical, spiritual and intellectual learning.

 Our Educational Philosophy:

Each child is given an opportunity to participate at his/her own pace, to realize his/her own creative potential.  We believe these years are very important and special. The foundation of self-esteem is formed and children learn to adapt successfully to their work.  We encourage the development of critical thinking skills, creativity, self-expression, imagination and motor coordination.  Our programs are designed to build skills and confidence.

Our Faculty:

St. Therese Pre-Kindergarten offers a well-educated and experienced faculty that includes a certified Early Education teacher and a certified teacher’s aide. All of our teachers are certified by the State of New Jersey and are able to provide a challenging education in part because they are constantly challenging themselves through additional course work, seminars and workshops.

Requirements:

Your child must be 3 or 4 years old by October 1st of the academic year and they must be potty-trained.
